SYNOPSIS

In a world smothered by pollution and ruled by the smoke-belching tyranny of King Coal, darkness threatens to consume the Earth. His ultimate weapon, the Carbonator 3000, is a monstrous machine built to supercharge the forces of Dark Matter and extinguish the planet’s last rays of hope.

Enter Aster and Ray, two unlikely kids brought together by fate, curiosity, and a mysterious note left behind by an ancient solar guardian. With their solar-powered robot sidekick, Solar Bot, they embark on a daring mission to stop King Coal’s devastation. Along the way, they uncover ancient solar artifacts, decode hidden messages, and unlock their true potential as the Solar Stars.

Their journey takes them through polluted rivers, shadowy forests, and into the heart of a forgotten solar temple. As they battle King Coal’s toxic Destroyers and face impossible odds, Aster and Ray discover the true power of friendship, courage, and innovation. The final showdown will test everything they’ve learned and the strength of the light within them.

Brimming with adventure, heart, and humor, Solar Stars vs. Dark Matter is more than just an interactive comic.  It’s a call to action. Young readers are invited to join a global mission for sustainability and clean energy, learning that anyone, anywhere, can rise up and become a hero for the planet.

Together, we can create a brighter future.

“Solar power is going to be absolutely essential to meeting growing energy demands while staving off climate change.”

– Ramez Naam, Clean Energy Advocate, and Award-Winning Author

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, electricity production was responsible for the largest share of greenhouse gas emissions of any sector at 29% in 2015. Ramping up the engagement of students in the process of expanding solar installations reduces carbon emissions while providing innovative, real-world learning opportunities, and offers considerable long-term financial savings for schools.
